Creator Terms

This is the current published version.

These Creator Terms supplement the Blipside Terms of Use and apply when you create or use a Creator account, use Blipside Voices, create a public Voice profile, schedule a session, or go live. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms of Use.

By selecting the Creator agreement action, you agree to the Terms of Use and these Creator Terms, and you agree to follow the Community Guidelines.

1. Creator eligibility and authority

You must be at least 18 years old to create or use a Creator account, use Blipside Voices, schedule a session, or go live.

If you create or use a Creator account for a company, organization, team, publication, or another person, you represent that you have authority to bind that person or entity to these Creator Terms and to grant the rights described here.

Creator registration is self-service, but Blipside may require email verification, profile completion, current legal acceptance, eligibility confirmation, and other reasonable readiness or safety checks before you can publish or go live.

2. Your Voice profile and session information

You are responsible for your Creator account and for the accuracy of information you provide, including your:

  • public display name, biography, and avatar;
  • Voice Types and Voice Styles;
  • languages you go live in and the main language listeners should expect in each session;
  • leagues, teams, topics, and other coverage interests;
  • session titles, descriptions, schedules, game or topic context, tags, and other session metadata; and
  • statements about credentials, affiliations, sponsorships, or experience.

Profile defaults may prepopulate a new session, but you remain responsible for reviewing the final session settings before scheduling or going live. Do not deliberately mislabel a session, language, identity, or context to confuse listeners, evade filters, or obtain placement.

Blipside may display your public profile and session information to Listeners. Profile attributes and taxonomies are descriptors, not Blipside verification, certification, or endorsement of your expertise, credentials, fluency, opinions, or affiliations.

3. Creator Content and ownership

Creator Content means original content that you submit or transmit through Creator features, including your live spoken commentary, profile text, profile images that you provide, session titles and descriptions, and other original text, audio, or media you submit.

You retain ownership of your Creator Content, subject to rights held by others. These Creator Terms do not transfer ownership of your Creator Content to Blipside.

Creator Content does not include Blipside's software, interfaces, branding, platform taxonomies, account and session identifiers, system-generated timestamps, technical logs, moderation records, security records, de-identified or aggregate analytics, sports data supplied by third parties, or other materials owned or licensed by Blipside.

4. Limited license to operate Blipside

You grant Blipside a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, limited license to use your Creator Content and your name, display name, image, likeness, voice, and public profile information solely as reasonably necessary to:

  • receive and process Creator Content;
  • host and temporarily store it;
  • reproduce it as technically necessary;
  • encode, transcode, compress, format, resize, and make other technical adaptations needed for compatibility and delivery;
  • cache, stream, transmit, digitally perform, display, and distribute it through Blipside-controlled Service surfaces;
  • index and make your public profile and sessions discoverable within Blipside;
  • provide session operations, support, analytics, and account functions;
  • moderate, investigate, secure, and enforce the Service; and
  • comply with law and preserve narrowly justified safety, fraud, dispute, or legal records.

Blipside may sublicense these rights only to service providers, contractors, and affiliates acting on Blipside's behalf and subject to restrictions consistent with these Creator Terms. Blipside may assign the license in connection with a merger, reorganization, financing-related restructuring, or sale of Blipside or substantially all of the relevant business or assets, provided the successor assumes these Creator Terms.

The license permits technical adaptations but does not authorize Blipside to editorially change the meaning of your commentary or falsely attribute a statement to you.

Except under a separate agreement or specific permission, this license does not authorize Blipside to:

  • train a generative-AI, speech, or synthetic-voice model on your Creator Content or recognizable voice;
  • clone or create a synthetic version of your voice;
  • translate, dub, or materially transform your speech;
  • create permanent replay archives, downloadable recordings, or user-generated clips;
  • syndicate or resell your Creator Content outside the Service;
  • use audio excerpts or your recognizable voice in paid advertising, App Store trailers, sponsor campaigns, or unrelated external promotion; or
  • merchandise or otherwise commercially exploit your identity or Creator Content outside operation of Blipside.

Blipside may feature your public profile, name, avatar, and session availability within Blipside-controlled product and discovery surfaces. Any broader promotional use of your Creator audio, voice, or likeness requires separate permission unless another written agreement expressly applies.

No separate copyright or publicity royalty is owed for the operational license in this section. Any future Creator payment, revenue-share, sponsorship, subscription, or monetization program will be governed by separate terms.

5. Duration and effect of deletion or termination

The operational license continues while your Creator account or applicable Creator Content is available through the Service. When your Creator account or Creator Content is deleted, Blipside will stop new public use within a reasonable technical wind-down period.

The license may continue only as necessary for:

  • ordinary cache and backup expiration;
  • completing a requested deletion and preventing deleted-account restoration;
  • resolving a report, safety event, fraud investigation, copyright claim, dispute, or legal hold;
  • preserving policy acceptance and other records for an approved legal purpose; or
  • maintaining de-identified or aggregate information that does not identify you or reproduce your Creator Content.

Retained copies may not be used for new promotion or unrelated commercial exploitation.

6. Rights, permissions, and third-party participants

You represent and warrant that you own or have all rights, permissions, licenses, and consents necessary for Blipside and its service providers to use your Creator Content as described in these Creator Terms.

You are responsible for obtaining all legally required consent before intentionally including another person's voice, likeness, private information, or protected material in a session. This includes a guest, co-host, caller, interviewee, bystander, or another person who can be heard through your microphone.

Your Creator Content and use of the Service must not violate:

  • copyright, trademark, patent, trade-secret, publicity, privacy, confidentiality, contract, or other rights;
  • applicable recording, interception, consent, communications, endorsement, advertising, or consumer-protection laws;
  • a court order, employment obligation, nondisclosure agreement, credentialed-access restriction, or other binding duty; or
  • the Community Guidelines.

7. Underlying broadcasts, music, clips, and protected material

Blipside provides creator-led companion audio. You may discuss and react to games and sports topics, but you may not transmit or rebroadcast the underlying game, television, radio, streaming, or venue audio or video.

You may not transmit or use through Blipside without permission:

  • unauthorized music, sound recordings, clips, highlight audio, or broadcast excerpts;
  • protected feeds, paid-access streams, credentials, or circumvention tools;
  • third-party commentary or recordings;
  • confidential or unlawfully obtained information; or
  • a league, team, broadcaster, or brand identity in a manner that falsely suggests sponsorship, endorsement, employment, authorization, or affiliation.

If unauthorized background audio or another protected work enters your session, you must take reasonable steps to stop or remove it promptly.

8. Live conduct and content limits

You must follow the Community Guidelines in live audio and all Creator-facing content. Strong opinions, team criticism, sports rivalry, satire, and ordinary disagreement are not prohibited merely because they are controversial or unpopular. Context does not excuse threats, targeted abuse, unlawful discrimination, exploitation, doxxing, fraud, impersonation, or rights violations.

Because Creator audio is live, Blipside may not identify every violation before listeners hear it. You remain responsible for what you say and transmit. Do not intentionally present content that exceeds the age rating or content limits Blipside establishes for the Service.

Blipside may require accurate session metadata and may correct, restrict, or remove misleading profile or session information.

9. Sponsorships, endorsements, and commercial relationships

If your commentary, recommendation, review, or discussion is influenced by payment, employment, free products or services, affiliate compensation, sponsorship, or another material relationship that listeners would not reasonably expect, you must disclose that relationship clearly and conspicuously when required by law.

Do not present sponsored or paid commentary as independent when it is not. Do not make deceptive, unsubstantiated, or false claims about a product, service, person, team, league, or organization.

Blipside does not currently provide a Creator advertising, sponsorship, payout, or revenue-share program. Separate terms may apply before you participate in any future commercial program.

10. Reports, moderation, and intervention

Listeners may report a Voice or session and may block a Voice. A report is a request for review and is not, by itself, proof of a violation. Blipside does not use a fixed report count or percentage as an automatic determination of guilt.

Blipside may preserve relevant records, review available context, and take proportionate action based on severity, evidence, repetition, risk, prior conduct, and attempts to evade restrictions. Possible actions include:

  • no action;
  • education or warning;
  • correction or removal of profile or session metadata;
  • reduced visibility or feature restrictions;
  • ending the exact live session;
  • placing a Creator account on hold;
  • suspension or termination; and
  • restoration after review.

Blipside may act immediately when credible information indicates imminent harm, child-safety risk, serious illegality, fraud, security risk, or another urgent concern. Because action may be time-sensitive, Blipside does not promise advance notice.

When appropriate, Blipside will provide a useful reason category and a support path. You may request review through support@blipside.app, but Blipside does not promise a particular outcome, a formal hearing, disclosure of confidential evidence, or a fixed response time.

11. Scheduling, discovery, analytics, and recaps

Blipside may provide scheduling, session opportunities, discovery, language filtering, listener counts, recaps, and analytics. These features may be estimated, incomplete, delayed, unavailable, corrected, or changed.

Blipside does not guarantee:

  • approval or continued availability of a scheduled session;
  • discovery placement or promotion;
  • followers, audience size, retention, or engagement;
  • the accuracy or completeness of analytics;
  • earnings, sponsorship, employment, or another business result; or
  • preservation of every historical metric or recap.

Recaps and analytics are system-generated records and are not audio archives unless Blipside expressly introduces and separately describes an audio-retention feature.

12. No employment, agency, or exclusivity

Your use of Blipside as an independent Creator does not create employment, agency, partnership, joint venture, fiduciary duty, franchise, or authority to bind Blipside. You are responsible for your own activities and, if a future commercial program applies, your own taxes and legal obligations except as another written agreement states.

The standard Creator relationship is nonexclusive. You may create and distribute content elsewhere, subject to rights and obligations you owe to others.

13. Platform data and feedback

Blipside owns or controls the Service and its platform-generated technical, operational, security, moderation, and aggregate or de-identified data, subject to applicable privacy law. Blipside does not acquire ownership of your live speech merely by creating session IDs, metrics, recaps, or technical records.

Feedback you provide is governed by the feedback provision in the Terms of Use.

14. Creator access, export, correction, and deletion

You may update available profile and session information through Blipside Voices, subject to lifecycle and safety restrictions. A product edit does not necessarily resolve a formal privacy request relating to historical, audit, or provider records.

An authenticated Creator can download a readable JSON copy of available Creator account information through the Creator account experience. The copy excludes credentials, session secrets, private media URLs, other users' data, privileged security details, and information Blipside cannot lawfully or safely disclose. You may contact privacy@blipside.app for a formal access, portability, or correction request that the product controls do not address.

Authenticated Creator account deletion is available through the Creator account experience. The self-service flow verifies your current password and deliberate intent, will not proceed while a session is starting or live, and reports whether deletion completed. You may also contact privacy@blipside.app for a verified manual request. Disabling or holding an account is not a substitute for deletion.

Deletion ordinarily removes or de-identifies the Creator authentication record, public profile, managed avatar, drafts, schedules, sessions, recaps, analytics, and other Creator-associated personal information. Some records may be retained for ordinary backup expiration, deletion proof, safety, fraud, copyright, dispute, legal, or policy-evidence purposes. A same-email Listener identity remains separate unless you separately delete it.

15. Copyright complaints and repeat infringement

Creators must respect intellectual-property rights. Blipside may restrict or remove content and may suspend or terminate repeat infringers or users who repeatedly submit material that violates others' rights.

Send copyright complaints to support@blipside.app with the subject Copyright and enough information for Blipside to evaluate the complaint. Blipside has not activated a separate Copyright Policy or statutory notice-and-counter-notice process.

The Copyright Policy, if activated, governs formal notices, counter-notices, restoration timing, and designated-agent information.

16. Creator indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Blipside and its officers, directors, employees, affiliates, and agents from third-party claims, damages, judgments, losses, liabilities, costs, and reasonable attorneys' fees arising out of or relating to:

  • your Creator Content;
  • your breach of a representation, warranty, or obligation in these Creator Terms;
  • your failure to obtain permission from a guest or other participant;
  • your infringement or violation of copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, defamation, confidentiality, recording-consent, endorsement, contract, or other rights or laws;
  • unauthorized game, broadcast, music, clip, feed, or third-party content; or
  • your fraudulent, unlawful, or materially deceptive Creator activity.

Blipside will provide reasonable notice of a covered claim and may control the defense and settlement. You will reasonably cooperate. Blipside will not settle a claim in a manner that admits your liability or imposes a nonmonetary obligation on you without your consent, not to be unreasonably withheld.

This section does not require you to indemnify Blipside for a claim caused solely by Blipside's own product design, privacy or security obligations, unauthorized use outside the license you granted, or other conduct for which Blipside is legally responsible.

17. Disclaimers, liability, disputes, and termination

The disclaimers, limitation of liability, informal dispute process, governing law, venue, and other general provisions in the Terms of Use apply to Creator activity unless these Creator Terms expressly state otherwise.

Blipside may restrict, suspend, or terminate Creator access as described in the Terms of Use and these Creator Terms. You may stop using Creator features or request deletion at any time.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership, narrowly retained license rights, rights representations, indemnification, disclaimers, liability limits, dispute provisions, and records that may lawfully be retained.

18. Changes to these Creator Terms

Blipside may update these Creator Terms. If a change materially affects Creator rights or obligations, Blipside will require affected Creator accounts to affirmatively agree to the new immutable version before new Creator publishing activity. A Creator-only change will not, by itself, stale the separate Terms acceptance of a Listener account.
